My Students

Our curriculum is changing, and we don't have textbooks! e-Readers are not only engaging for students, but we NEED them!

I teach students who are between twelve and fourteen years old.

Many of my students openly acknowledge their own personal struggles with reading. My goal is to increase their self efficacy when it comes to their own reading abilities, instilling the self-confidence to be life-long learners.

My Project

e-Readers such as the Nook are versatile for various student needs. Students can immediately access online dictionaries, have words read aloud (which is wonderful for my students with disabilities and English language learners). I want my students to be proud of themselves and of their own reading.

You can make a difference in the lives of my students.

By donating an e-Reader, my students will have hands-on, real world experiences with reading while learning important and necessary active reading skills.
