My Students

King Arthur was on the right track when it came to seating his knights equally.

There are 19 students in my Two Way Bilingual Immersion Classroom which integrates language minority students (Spanish speakers) and language majority students (English speakers) to develop bilingualism in English and Spanish.

They are a cheerful and attentive group of children who care about their work and it shows in the work they do. They give their best effort and love to work in small groups and in partnership. They share with one another and respect each other's point of view. What I admire the most about my students is that they do not compete against each other, but help and share their knowledge with each other which is a great asset to our inner city public school.

My Project

It is so important to have proximity to students when working in small groups. This ensures that you can be there at the right time to provide the right kind of support just when each student needs it. This table will offer opportunities for me to interact with my students in just that way. It will also allow for tremendous collaboration between my students so that they can also learn from each other.

Having the right furniture will be such an asset to my classroom.

Just like King Arthur, I would like to be able to create an atmosphere where the READERS OF THE ROUND TABLE become the future readers and leaders in our community. That is why I am requesting a 34 x72 teaching table. Your support will enable my students to achieve success.
