Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Can you imagine what it would be like to live below water? These plants will be the final touches to the paludarium I have created so students can observe aquatic life with living plants. These plants will aid students in understanding photosynthesis and the dependence aquatic life has on plants.
My students are eager to learn and extremely fascinated with animals and plants.
They live in a large city and lack the ability to witness the co-dependence between plants and aquatic animals.
Our school does not receive enough funding to provide teachers or students with extra teaching resources such as aquariums and plants. These students are wonderful children who are looking for advantages for a better education. They are wonderful students who learn visually and by participating.
My Project
I have already created a paludarium (part aquatic and part land terrarium). These plants will be the final touch to complete the project. These plants will provide them the experience and education of the co-dependence of plants and aquatic animals to discover a new world not readily at their disposal. My students will learn about the individual needs of plants and aquatic life. They will also learn about how aquatic life depends on plants for protection and breeding purposes.
I truly love teaching!
With all of the changes being implemented, our school is falling behind on the potential for learning opportunities. We as teachers are constantly trying to find new ways to make our schools and classrooms better. With supporters like you and supplies like this, my classroom is taking one more step to further their education.
