Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember what is means to be eager to learn? Did you lack modern equipment to inquire about basic concepts and explore physics through dynamic learning environments? The ability for students to discover the world begins with your support.
Students in Arizona have not had much experience in physics.
They are ready to learn and very energetic about physics concepts. The school they attend does not have many hands-on resources, but that does not prohibit them from excelling. These students are worthy of your support.
My Project
I am requesting an inquiry based lab set for students to discover the basics of optics. I want students to see first hand how light works. I have also requested two books that will inspire new ways to look at the world and think deeply about the world in which they participate.
The donations from this project will further educate students in the field of physics and specifically optics.
Students see light everyday, but are in the dark with how light functions. It is essential that these students have the ability to see physics in living color.
