Do you remember your elementary music class? How fun it was? That is why I am here today. I am hoping for an opportunity for my students to be able to experience how truly fun music can be. I am hoping that with your help and support this opportunity for my students will become possible. Thank You

My students are a great group of students here in Georgia.

They are waiting for opportunities like this so they may grow. We are in a high poverty area. Many of our students are receiving free or reduced lunch. Our school is a Title 1 school. There are not a whole lot of instruments and materials available for them to use.

My Project

I am asking for a Lyons Bass Xylophone for my students. My students really enjoy getting to play the instruments so I believe that having this instrument will give more students the opportunity to experience playing an instrument. I will help them meet and exceed the standards in music. The students will be able to learn more songs and the students will also be able to accompany themselves on these songs by having this instrument. Along the way, we will also learn how to read music. Along with learning how to read music all of the things we do in music class help them in one way or another. It helps them with their reading and it also helps to build community.

This project really is important to me and my students because I really do believe that their learning experience in music can be greatly enhanced in allowing more students the opportunity to play instruments.

The better their experience in music the better their community feeling is. The better their community feeling is the more they get out of their experience. I want students to gain an appreciation for the art of music because it was and still is such a big part in my life.
