The resources I purchased through TPT allowed us to bring lessons to life instead of just reading about them. For example, when we learned about moon phases, students used Oreo cookies to model each phase, physically twisting and shaping the cream to match what they observed. We explored internal and external character traits as we completed a First Day Jitters science experiment that helped students understand emotions while practicing prediction and observation skills. We also strengthened foundational math skills through engaging skip-counting activities and math fluency flash cards that turned practice into something fun and motivating rather than stressful.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is that these tools make learning feel interactive and personal. One of the most impactful additions has been our avatar tracking system. Students can now monitor their own academic progress in real time, watching their avatars grow as they meet goals. This has shifted the classroom culture from \"I have to do this\" to \"I want to level up.\" They cheer each other on, celebrate milestones, and take real ownership of their growth.\r\n\r\nI have seen particular students, especially those who previously struggled with confidence, completely warm up to learning through these resources. Some of my quieter scholars now eagerly participate during math fluency practice because the format feels like a game. Others who used to feel overwhelmed by new content are more willing to try because the lessons are hands-on and visually engaging. Your support did more than purchase materials; it created joyful, memorable learning experiences that are building both skills and confidence in my classroom every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1757875895878,"projectUrl":"project/cart-to-classroom-turning-resources-int/9375835/","projectTitle":"Cart to Classroom: Turning Resources Into Results!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wimbush","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7500941_orig.jpg?crop=526,526,x0,y59&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743118467515","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7500941"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_50268","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":349,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":87,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":79.6,"schoolId":50268,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wesley Heights Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wesley Heights Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/muscogee-county-school-district/wesley-heights-elementary-school/50268"}
