My Students

We need loop tracks for a loopy concept. Please help my students better understand centripetal motion.

I have a diverse group of students that ranges from introductory physics all the way up to AP Physics.

Our school is a small Indiana school in a small town. Unfortunately, our school is showing its age and is quickly approaching 50 years old and the equipment is becoming outdated.

My Project

CPO makes some great equipment that I love to use in my physical science classes. One them is the Loop Track. With this, students can see centripetal force in action. This concept can be very abstract and goes against their intuition of how they see the world. This track is a simple tool that clearly shows the concepts of centripetal motion and force, the students have fun using it as well.

There is a saying in education, "Tell me, I forget.

Show me, I remember. Involve me, I understand." This equipment directly involves the student in the subject matter better than any other equipment I have used.
