My Students

My students are in need of the Hot Dots learning system, Solve & Match Magnetic Math Tins, Instant Math Games, and Math Equivalency Puzzles for the mathematical experience. Making math exciting and engaging is the secret to educating children without them realizing that they are learning.

My second grade students are from an extremely low-income and poverty stricken area of the south side of Chicago.

Our school is a turnaround school. The school was turned around two years ago because of severe under performance. Students are adjusting to the new culture and climate of our school, but there is still much work to do in order to make up for lost time.

My Project

Our mathematics resources will inspire future engineers, accountants, financial advisers, brokers, bankers, teachers, technicians, doctors, professors, entrepreneurs, physicians, and even more to remember the day they first fell in love with math. These resources will allow the students to gain a new perspective about math that will allow them to explode into loving mathematical concepts. We also need a rack to store all the items.

The students in my classroom are so deserving of an opportunity to experience math materials that provide with them real world experiences.
