I can't wait! \r\n\r\nDuring cold and flu season, it's important that we have supplies to help mitigate the spread of germs. Facial tissue is essential. We also received some curtains in this project. Here in the windy city of Chicago, curtains keep the cold from the windows from blowing into the classroom keeping us warm during the winter months. The posters will add to the lab look keeping the students engaged and ready to learn how to be student scientists. Lastly, the clock, while it wasn't my first choice, it's a nice addition to the classroom putting these young minds to work having to tell time on a traditional clock instead of digital. \r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1739559493548,"projectUrl":"project/mrs-jones-science-class/9043305/","projectTitle":"Mrs. Jones Science Class","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9692841_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y55&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739214015745","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9692841"},{"teacherId":9692841,"projectId":8681686,"letterContent":"This was my very first project on Donors Choose. It warms my heart to know that people and organizations all over the country see the need and care for my students. The materials purchased in this project made our classroom feel like home. I was placed in this classroom at the last minute at the beginning of the year due to increased enrollment. This room was used as storage first, then detention. There was nothing here. Initially, I put some basic decorations up because I knew that I would be teaching multiple subjects. When I realized I had a special set of students with different needs, I knew I would need some help.\r\n\r\nFirst, the items for the calm corner were essential. I have students that frequently need to take breaks. It's great to have a space inside the classroom where they can take a break instead of having them leave to roam the halls. Our security and administration appreciates that part the most. Secondly, the rug with our Solar System brightens the classroom and gives the students an alternate place to work or relax if all their work is done. Borders and other décor just gave it that much more of a real classroom feel. \r\n We no longer look like we're in detention. Last but not least, the white boards, markers and erasers are essential for group and individual work. Thank you so much for your generosity to our underserved community.","fullyFundedDate":1733267367102,"projectUrl":"project/mrs-jones-science-and-social-science-cl/8681686/","projectTitle":"Mrs. Jones Science and Social Science Class","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9692841_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y55&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739214015745","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9692841"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_5429","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":417,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":91,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"16.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.0,"schoolId":5429,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bradwell School of Excellence on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bradwell School of Excellence","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/chicago-public-school-district-299/bradwell-elementary-school/5429"}
