The contributions you made to this space truly elevated the quality of and access to learning for my students.\r\n\r\nIn the realm of Special Education, it can sometimes be difficult for students to be active participants in their own learning. These challenges are amplified when working within a school and community that face systemic inequities—where success is too often measured by those with more privilege, limiting what our students can do. But when working with donors like you, we get to tackle these limitations head-on and say NO! ---\r\n\r\nHow Your Generosity Transformed Our Classroom\r\nBecause of your investment, my 4th and 5th-grade students have completely transformed how they engage with their daily lessons:\r\n\r\nMath Mastery & Confidence: The students have utilized the calculators to solve complex math problems, while the whiteboards have given them a dedicated space to show off their amazing thinking and follow along with mathematical examples.\r\n\r\nBridging the Gaps: We used the geometric magnetic shapes to deeply explore fractions, which is a critical subject in 4th and 5th-grade math. The place value and long division boards have successfully counteracted learning gaps that once were hard to understand. They now have a sufficient understanding to access difficult, grade-level standards—which is a HUGE win for students in a SPED program who are so often underestimated!\r\n\r\nCreative Expressions: Their absolute favorite part, however, has been utilizing the scissors, glue, and coloring pencils to display their artistic visions. They have created pictures that constantly make me smile, which are now proudly plastered all over our art wall to display their beautiful work.\r\n\r\nA Special Moment of Gratitude\r\nThe impact went beyond just our academics. The students used these art materials to participate in Appreciation Days, specifically creating projects for our custodians who are often underappreciated. The children poured their entire hearts into it, truly bringing the biggest smiles to our custodians' faces.\r\n\r\nThe Big Reveal: Excitement and Inspiration\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were beyond excited, grateful, and even surprised to know that so many people were supporting them without even meeting them. It sparked a beautiful conversation in our room. We talked about being the very best we can be this year to continue to make ourselves proud, and also to honor all of the wonderful donors who invested in our potential and greatness.\r\n\r\nWhat's Next for Our Students?\r\nAs we head toward the end of the school year, our journey isn't over yet! For our next steps, the students will be using these materials to complete their international projects for International Day. Afterward, we will end the year with some fun art projects to wind down after all of their incredible hard work.\r\n\r\nYou all have made such a difference in the educational experience of my students. As a first-year teacher, this project provided all the tools I needed to be the best advocate and teacher I could be, and I am forever grateful to you for helping catapult my educational career so successfully. Thank you for helping me give them the high-quality education and the safe, fun learning environment that they truly deserve.\r\n\r\nWith love and gratitude,","fullyFundedDate":1755356466551,"projectUrl":"project/ms-kjs-classroom-community/9497044/","projectTitle":"Ms. KJ's Classroom Community!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. KJ","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kjsklassroom"},{"teacherId":10174142,"projectId":9585488,"letterContent":"How is the technology helping your students learn?\r\n\r\nThe technology and learning tools provided through this project have made a meaningful impact on how my students engage with instruction each day. The color printer allows me to create vibrant, differentiated materials that support visual learners and make lessons more accessible, especially for early readers and students who benefit from color-coded supports. The Phone Buddy auditory reading tools help students hear individual phonemes clearly, strengthening decoding and fluency skills. Our lights and buzzers promote active participation during review games, while the dry erase pockets allow students to practice skills repeatedly without fear of making mistakes. Together, these tools support a multisensory approach to learning that improves focus, confidence, and academic growth.\r\n\r\nWhat about the new product is most exciting to your students?\r\n\r\nStudents are especially excited about the interactive nature of the materials. The lights and buzzers make learning feel like a game, encouraging friendly competition and teamwork. The pop sensory tubes and pencil grippers are also favorites because they help students stay calm, focused, and comfortable during independent work. Many students love seeing colorful worksheets and visuals printed just for them, which makes the classroom feel more engaging and personalized. Overall, the excitement comes from being able to learn in ways that are fun, hands-on, and different from traditional paper-and-pencil tasks.\r\n\r\nAre there particular students who have especially warmed to this new technology, and how so?\r\n\r\nSeveral students who previously struggled with attention, fine motor skills, or reading confidence have benefited tremendously from these tools. Students with developing handwriting skills are now able to write more comfortably using the pencil grippers. Emerging readers have gained confidence using the Phone Buddy devices to hear sounds clearly without distractions. Students who need sensory support are calmer and more focused when using the pop tubes, which helps them remain engaged in instruction. Additionally, quieter students who may hesitate to speak up now eagerly participate during buzzer activities because the format feels safe and exciting. These tools have helped ensure that every learner has a way to access the curriculum and feel successful.","fullyFundedDate":1765205083416,"projectUrl":"project/kindergarten-scholars/9585488/","projectTitle":"Kindergarten Scholars","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Radcliff","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10174142"},{"teacherId":6551776,"projectId":9503508,"letterContent":"We can't thank you enough for your support!
