My Students

All students learn to read at their own pace. Sometimes, students have trouble and seem to progress more slowly than others. Having a set of Literacy Tutor Boxes in my classroom can help me meet the needs of those students.

We have a diverse population.

I work in a school with a wide range of students. Gifted, low income, students who speak other languages, students on the autism spectrum, and so many more. We are very proud of our diverse population and strive to make every child feel like they have a home in our school.

My Project

The First Grade Literacy Tutoring Boxes (including retelling, sight words, and more) can be used in a small group to help master skills of letter recognition, beginning sounds, end sounds, and rhyme. All essential early literacy skills. I would like to have these boxes for something new and exciting for the struggling readers.

All students need to have access to fun, effective materials.

The readers in my class who struggle would benefit greatly from exposure to these First Grade Literacy Tutoring Boxes. We can work on skills in a fun way that gets results. Thanks for considering this proposal.
