My Students

My students are eager to learn. They love to read and they love to find new ways that help them read better! Help make literacy stations fun for my students who's parents are deployed to dangerous places.

My wonderful group of students are dependents of military families.

They watch their moms and dads leave for months at a time to fight for our country. We live near two major Air Force Bases in Northwest Florida. 50% of my students have one or more family members in the military. They are the best kids ever and sometimes they are so worried about their family they have a hard time in school. I want to make my classroom a home away from home. I think with good quality materials, I can take the worry away for a little bit during their day. Our school is a wonderful school, but unfortunately we have had major budget cuts. Money is very hard to come by so sometimes my students just do without.

My Project

These resources will help my students learn more reading skills to become better readers. They will have a good time learning with the fun new stations. Reading is at the core of every thing that we do so it is imperative for them to have a good reading foundation. I am teaching them this important foundation and the resources that I have requested will also help me do this. My students deserve the best and I am hoping you will help.

My students are hard working and they love to read.

Help me take their minds off of their family members that are serving our country. I want them to have a home away from home and have fun learning. You can help me do this with your donation. They are wonderful kids and they are very dear to my heart. They deserve the very best and I want to give it to them. The donation will help them become even better readers than they are. It will also take their minds off of their situation at home.
