My Students

My students are being given higher and higher expectations every year with state testing and Common Core expectations. I am setting a goal for every one of my students to be proficient in mathematics, and above grade level in reading by the end of the year.

My students are loving, kind, and curious Kindergarteners.

Many are just experiencing school for the first time, at a day in age where that means they have a lot of progress to meet prior to the end of Kindergarten. My school is a very devoted community of parents and teachers, who are trying to do their best to meet their students' needs, even if that means staying late every night, or spending their money on tissues, whiteboards, and student games.

My Project

My students will use these reading and mathematics centers to develop their literacy in both subjects. These centers will be used on a daily basis, in order to engage each student in fun and developmentally appropriate activities that will increase their sight word recognition, their comprehension, and their addition and subtraction skills.
