Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help math, literature, historical figures, and scientific wonders come to life for my students. For example, Scholastic's Virtual Mayflower Journey, tour of Jamestown and the pilgrims and Indians of "The First Thanksgiving" brought the story of Thanksgiving to life for my students.

Most of my students learn better with visual aids such as videos and pictures.

We can read and discuss the different types of bats, but nothing brings it to life like a video of actual bats hanging upside in a cave or "vampire bats" sucking the blood of a pig.

My Project

We need an LCD Projector to allow the use of a computer to teach interactive math lessons on a DVD, use videos available on TeacherTube.com, Scholastic.com/teachers, PBS, and other educational websites to enhance textbook material which contains few pictures.

Because our students, and most of the general population, learn best visually, this equipment will be an invaluable asset in the classroom.

For my students, a picture is worth a thousand words.
