My Students

Do you remember how you learned in school, reading from a textbook for each subject? In today's society, our students can see so many more new and exciting educational materials. The Kyros Tablet will allow my students the use of technology in the classroom and learn in a more up to date fashion.

I teach an eager and exciting group of students in a Title 1 public school in Illinois.

Our school has a high level of low income families and 99% of the students receive free lunch. Many of the students do not have excess to technology in their homes. Each student loves using technology in the classroom. Through the use of technology, my students become more focused on the activity being presented. When I look at the expression on their faces and how their eyes light up, it lets me know that they are understanding and comprehending better when technology is used. Because technology has become so popular in our lives, our students thrive with technology and the learning experience that it offers. If I could offer this to my students, it would help make their school experience even more wonderful.

My Project

Using the Coby Kyros tablet in the classroom will allow the students to become more engaged in their activities, build their social skills and increase their self-esteem as they work in small groups. The learning will become more engaging and exciting as they explore many more opportunities to develop language arts skills, math skills and have more extensive exposure to fiction and non-fiction literature. I will be able to find information on the Kyros tablet and make learning more meaningful for each student.

There seems to be nothing that can compare to the look on their faces when they use technology.

It is priceless. Being able to have a Coby Kyros tablet in the classroom will make them become amazed and excited during each learning experience. Learning in a new way will be thrilling for each student. Help make this possible for my students. Help engage and excite students to new concepts. Help them become more knowledgeable, more confident and successful students in all their subject areas.
