This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to write about a topic in class? So stressful especially at age five. I am asking for writing journals that come with picture and key words to motivate students to write their own words/sentences in Kindergarten.

My students are very bright and eager five year old students.

Every morning I greet them by saying, "Good morning Kinder scholars" and they just love to feel independent. We learn whole group but when we branch out for center and small group instruction, I can really see how much they are learning and are eager to learn. This is why I am requesting materials for early literacy interventions and motivations. My students need classroom essentials, such as white board markers, stickers, letter of the day center, and a small group easel for instruction.

My Project

From Donor's Choose I am hoping to get a small group teaching easel so that I can really focus in on pre-teaching key standards and re-teaching when individual students need that extra support. I am also hoping to receive journals for my Kindergarten class so that I can teach my students to have a sense of ownership and pride in their work. In Kindergarten, who wouldn't want to save the master pieces they make at this age?

By donating to our classroom project my students will receive materials that our school district cannot purchase and neither I, as their teacher, can afford.

There are an array of materials that my students will use that are hands-on essentials for a Kindergarten classroom.
