My Students

History can be very boring unless you come into my classroom! My students enjoy reading stories that help bring history to life!

I currently have 87 students this school year.

We are in a very low income, high poverty rural area. I have opened their eyes to reading and would love to continue to expose them to great books! Some of my students are on a much lower grade level in their reading skills, and these books will help me help them.

My Project

I am asking for a class set of "The Journal of Augustus Pelletier: Lewis and Clark Expedition." When studying the Lewis and Clark expedition in our unit, this book will help students get a better mental picture of what the journey was like. While reading this book, students will be asked to keep a journal of what they would feel if they were this student.

I appreciate all of the support my donors have given me over the past few years.

Without you guys I would not be the successful teacher that I have become. I love being able to open my students' eyes to a new world.
