This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We need your help! My curious and inquisitive pre-school students are eager and excited to learn all about plants and how they grow.

My SRLDP class is made up of 36 four and five year olds.

Most of them qualify for the free and reduced lunch program and many of them are English language learners. Our school has maintained academic progress even in these tough economic times. We have a tranquil, supportive and respectful school atmosphere. Our school in also culturally and linguistically diverse.

My Project

My students are experiencing school and academics for the first time. They need hands-on materials and experiences to get them hooked on learning. These first-time students need to develop a love and fascination for learning and inquiring about the world around them. By growing their own plants, they will be able to experience the life cycle of plants and discover the functions of plant structures. They will also begin to learn basics of the scientific process: experimentation, observation, and analysis.

Please help my students experience the wonder of science and of learning.

By providing them with these science tools and materials, you can help create future botanists and scientists!
