My Students

Color prints are a great way to help students to become more engaged. I can use these prints in a variety of ways, from beautiful pictures to support vocabulary to reprints of scanned student projects made into a class book.

Many of my students are strong visual learners, so even organizing information by color can be essential.

Prints in color are especially important as many of my students are also English language learners and often depend heavily on visual supports. We expect our students to take their learning seriously, so I feel it important that we give them our best resources.

My Project

In one group project, my students will learn about continents by making a map of a continent. We don’t have enough resources to provide each student with an atlas. I would like to provide each student with a vivid detailed map to support their learning. For this project, and for many others like this, I have requested a color printer/scanner along with 2 sets of it's required ink cartridges. This printer will be able to scan and print with the kind of detail needed for this project.

With the recent losses in resources due to diminishing state and district budgets and increased class sizes any support to increase engagement and access to the curriculum is essential.
