My Students

My students need a fun and interactive way to learn and apply social studies concepts. The Nonfiction Social Studies Leveled Readers Interactive CD-ROM Library is JUST the tool I have been waiting for!

I teach in a classroom designed for students on the autism spectrum.

I have 9 full time students in my room and 7 students that are on the asperger end of the spectrum and served in the regular classroom for much of their day. My students thrive on technology and resist traditional paper pencil tasks. This provides an interactive way for them to access grade level social studies content.

My Project

I recently received the math and reading set of these programs and LOVE them! The social studies curriculum will expand what I am able to provide my students with. Targets standards in these areas: • Vocabulary development • Reading comprehension • Grammar • Fluency • Social Studies The students will be able to work independently on our classroom SmartBoard reading and answering comprehension questions using this CD-Rom software!

Not only will you be helping MY students with your donation of these programs, you will be helping many more classrooms as well as I plan to provide check out to other teachers.
