Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a Speech Pathologist and I have a group every 30 minutes throughout the day. We start each session with a song and pictures. This could be the year they comprehend what they have read through visuals.
My students need visuals to understand what they have read in books.
Games help them have fun while they are learning so they won't get frustrated. I also work with 3 year old students so puzzles are used to name pictures while keeping their hands busy. Our school has several children who are lacking in parent support. Some of my students are being raised by grandparents and other family member.
My Project
The Phonemic Awareness game will help students to improve articulation skills by practicing through the games. The Building Language Photo Library will help students improve their vocabulary skills which will help in their classroom and in their daily life. Boost Comprehension set will help the child improve his/her auditory processing skills.
The activities I have selected will fulfill a need to help every student to express themselves to others in the classroom and their families with confidence.
It will help them to do better in the classroom with spelling, grammar and comprehension skills.
