My students need an iMac computer so that they may be able to use the internet and create multimedia presentations to expand their learning.

My Students

My critically ill students suffer from cancer, heart disease, traumatic brain injury to name a few. These students need any supplement resources possible to complete their education. The iMac is an extremely friendly computer because it can be modified to meet the needs of the disabled.

These students attend a school/hospital children's rehabilitation center in the New York metropolitan area.

The entire purpose of our institution is to make children better as well as providing them with a quality education. These children often come from poor economic areas.

My Project

This iMac will begin to change the lives of our students by providing them a means to create multimedia presentations for the classes. I can envision my students creating podcasts, digital presentations and books for their classes. I also see them creating movies and animation projects. In essence I see them being creative with music and art. And lastly I see my students having the joy in learning again.

At the present time we are working on out dated computers.

Many of the students have to share and wait their turn for a computer to be available. These students deserve more, thus I am constantly advocating everywhere I go for decent supplies for these students. They have been through a tremendous amount of pain and suffering. Thus I am just asking for a little bit of help.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
