Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students speak four different languages, and they are just beginning to learn English! Through the tablet, we will be communicating better because we will be able to show videos, images, and even read e-books in English, and in other languages!

There are 21 five and six year old students in my classroom, and they come from many different countries, speaking four different languages other than English.

This is their first or second year in an American school, and are beginning to communicate in English, but visuals and audio will enhance their abilities to understand, and speak English. Almost 100% of my students are on free lunch, because their immigrant families have very low income.

My Project

I am requesting this tablet in order to enhance our communication, and help them develop their oral language, comprehension and literacy skills in English. I have seen how other classroom teachers have integrated this great technology to their classroom teaching and learning experience, and I have seen how enthusiastic their language learners have been to this experience!

If you donate to this project, you will be helping my young English language learners to further develop their language skills, comprehension, and even literacy skills.

In addition, they will be enthusiastic about learning, using the newest technology that is available! Thank you for your donation to our students!
