"I'm entering my second year of teaching physical education in a high needs, inner-city school in Chicago. I teach pre-K to 8th grade. These students have been blessed this past year by the generous donations from donors choose individuals. The amount and types of equipment have gone a long way and impacted several lives in a positive manner. My objective is to expose the children to a lifetime of healthy, recreational activities.

In the past, I have gone to resale shops to purchase tennis racquets. They are beat up but are functional. The biggest problem is that they are too big for the children. I need racquets that fit the childrens tiny hands. And I need to replenish the balls that are being used by over 300 children.

The equipment that I am seeking is built for a child's hand. The racquets are of good quality and will last a long time by students from grade 3-8. In the past year, I have been successful in teaching tennis to all the grades and have had intramural tennis after school. The after school intramurals have given the children a place to go, to learn, to enjoy life, to experience something that only I could provide. Especially, since there are no after school programs for pre-teens or even teens in the area.

Your continued support will ensure that each and every child will have an experience of a lifetime. The will be exposed to the world or recreational activities instead of drugs and gangs that loom around the school 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your contribution to tomorrow's leaders will save countless numbers of lives, both physically and mentally.
