My Students

I know that my students will be entering the field of STEM when they graduate. I want to make sure that they are prepared at every turn.

I teach in a title one STEM school in Northeast Texas.

Our mission is improve the critical thinking and problem solving skills of all of our students. My class wants to learn and I am ready to teach them but I don't always have the extra money to make those exciting projects come to life in my classroom. We are located in a community with a high percentage of low socio-economic families who work very hard to make ends meet.

My Project

My students will use the Makey Makey kits to explore the world of engineering. They will be able to program their computers to solve real world problems. They will work collaboratively in small groups to problem solve and critically think. Having students use their hands and minds will provide opportunities for them to make real world connections.

There is no way that our school would be able to fund this project.

Monies are not available and families are not able to contribute school supplies; much less additional teaching materials. Your generous donation would help my students reach their full potential and become productive students wherever they may land after college. Thank you so much for your help.
