For these little ones, words on a page or black-and-white worksheets can feel distant and confusing. Color, on the other hand, speaks a universal language that instantly captures their attention, sparks joy, and helps build connections between new English words and their meanings.\r\nThanks to the color printer you so generously provided, I can now create and print vibrant, engaging learning materials that were previously out of reach:\r\n\r\n*Color-coded word family games that help students recognize rhyming patterns and beginning sounds\r\n*Bright picture cards for vocabulary themes (animals, food, family, colors, emotions) that make discussions more concrete and exciting\r\n*Visual supports for classroom routines, songs, and calendar activities that reduce anxiety and build confidence\r\n\r\nYour donation has not only given us a tool; it has given my students more joyful, accessible, and successful first experiences with school and with English. It has helped make our classroom a place where every child feels capable and excited to learn.\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of all the eager kindergarteners who benefit every single day, thank you. Your kindness is making a lasting difference in their lives.","fullyFundedDate":1764161929143,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-printer-project-empowering-st/9507976/","projectTitle":"Classroom Printer Project: Empowering Student Creativity and Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mottershaw","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7285214"},{"teacherId":9916313,"projectId":9099443,"letterContent":"It is no surprise that technology is used more and more in our day to day lives, especially in a classroom. Thanks to technology we have programs and systems that help improve the learning of all of our students. However, having the access to this technology requires other pieces of technology to get the best and most benefit for our kids. Thanks to donors like you, we are able to get the necessary tools to best help our students.\r\n\r\nIn our bilingual classroom it is very important to have access to the correct pronunciation of words as many of my students within the classroom speak English as a second language. Often times, words are spelled one way, but pronounced another in both languages. Many of my students had broken headphones that no longer worked and thus could not listen to their story or assignments without interrupting their peers. With the new set of headphones that your graciously donated, my students are able to work individually on their readings and assignments and listen to the correct pronunciation of words. We are so happy and grateful for your donation.","fullyFundedDate":1738936592424,"projectUrl":"project/bilingual-listening/9099443/","projectTitle":"Bilingual Listening!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9916313"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13382","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":538,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":23,"percentWhite":33,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":39,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":13382,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sam Houston STEM Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sam Houston STEM Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/marshall-independent-school-district/sam-houston-middle-school/13382"}
