My students need a new rug for our library/story time area. We spend a lot of quality time in our reading area, and we do not have a comfortable place to sit.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to cozy up on a soft colorful, inviting carpet in elementary school with that book that you just loved? Help my students create the same memories!

I have 16 students...10 girls and 6 boys!They are very well behaved...a bit talkative, a bit crazy and loud, a bit silly, but aren't all first graders that way?

They are also very eager to learn to read, as well as many other things. I love how they love to learn!! Not all of the families in this school are very well off. We attend a rural public school in a poverty stricken area.

My Project

With this wonderful, colorful, inviting carpet, our classroom look and feel will change dramatically. The classroom library will be more inviting for students to come and read in it. Also, we meet there several times for "lessons, songs and activities." I feel having this rug will add depth and excitement to our daily routine.
