We have several students that I know will benefit from these books. These books will make it easier for some of our students to read that do enjoy reading but struggle with a normal book. The sensory floor tiles were definitely the biggest hit right away; kids were lining up just to step on them and watch the colors move around. We started using them in stations for balance and movement, and it's been awesome to see how engaged everyone is. One moment that really stuck with me was a group of students carefully making their way across the tiles, cheering each other on like it was a big challenge. The giant inflatable soccer balls have also been a blast; they turn even the simplest games into something funny and new, and the kids can't get enough of them.\r\n\r\nOne of the best parts about the sensory tiles has been how much they've helped some of my students with disabilities. I have a few students who struggle with balance, coordination, or just feeling comfortable jumping into activities, and these tiles have given them a way to participate at their own pace. The visual and sensory feedback keeps them interested, and I've seen kids who are usually pretty reserved light up and stay engaged longer than they normally would. It's also been a great tool to help with focus and calmness for students who need a little extra support during class.\r\n\r\nWe've also been using the hoops, pinnies, and Ogo ball to set up games and stations that keep everyone moving and involved. The kids were so pumped the first day we brought everything out, it honestly felt like Christmas in the gym. Looking ahead, I'm having students start to come up with their own games using the equipment, which has been really fun to watch. They're getting creative, working together, and taking ownership of what we're doing. It's made PE feel even more fun and inclusive for everyone, and I'm really thankful for the impact it's already having.","fullyFundedDate":1764787477501,"projectUrl":"project/adapted-pe/9633354/","projectTitle":"Adapted PE","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Rayfield","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9732183_orig.png?crop=215,215,x10,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725568582957","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9732183"},{"teacherId":9732183,"projectId":9633124,"letterContent":"Getting the PA speaker system with wireless microphones has honestly been a game-changer in our gym. Before, I was constantly raising my voice to be heard over bouncing balls, excited students, and the general noise that comes with an elementary PE class. Now, I can speak in a normal tone, and every student, whether they're right next to me or across the gym, can clearly hear instructions, expectations, and encouragement. This has helped our classes run more smoothly, cut down on confusion, and maximize the time we actually spend moving and learning instead of repeating directions. It's also made it easier to incorporate music, which keeps students energized and engaged during activities.\r\n\r\nThe students have been really excited about the microphones themselves. There's something about hearing their teacher through a \"real\" sound system that makes class feel more fun and professional. I've even been able to let students use the microphone during certain activities—like leading stretches, explaining a game, or encouraging their classmates—which has been huge for building confidence and communication skills. Some of my quieter students, who normally wouldn't volunteer to speak in front of the group, have really come out of their shell when given the chance to use the mic. It gives them a sense of importance and helps their voice be heard, both literally and figuratively.\r\n\r\nOverall, this technology has made our gym feel more inclusive, organized, and exciting. It supports all learners (especially those who may struggle to hear or focus in a loud environment) and creates opportunities for leadership and participation that we didn't have before. It's one of those additions that you don't realize how much you need until you have it, and now I can't imagine teaching without it.","fullyFundedDate":1762266383558,"projectUrl":"project/i-cant-hear-you/9633124/","projectTitle":"I Can't Hear You","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Rayfield","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9732183_orig.png?crop=215,215,x10,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725568582957","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9732183"},{"teacherId":6814158,"projectId":10140603,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your kind and generous donation to our library.
