My students need eight digital cameras and memory cards for photographing evidence, crime scenes, and other aspects of investigations to enhance their experience in Honors Forensic Science!

My Students

Do you get excited every time you watch crime shows such as CSI, Bones, or Dexter? My students are learning the science behind the various fields in forensic science and need your help to be able to photograph evidence, crime scenes, suspects, etc. in our hands-on labs and activities!

I teach 160 very bright, hard-working, and dedicated students in a high poverty high school in Illinois.

Many of my students travel 45 minutes to 1.5 hours each way to and from school, which should be an indication of their commitment to their education. They truly deserve to have a great experience in my Honors Forensics class, and I hope you can help!

My Project

In order to be able to photograph mock crime scenes, evidence, suspects, etc. in class, my students need eight digital cameras and memory cards. This will enhance their experience with these labs and activities, as all of them call for photographs, and unfortunately we do not have a single camera right now.

This project is so important as this class is one that students are very interested in and often shapes or solidifies their passion for science.

By making the labs and activities as exciting as possible, we can help these students pursue careers and degrees not only in forensic science, but chemistry, biology, and physics as well.
