This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the baby chicks hatching in your Kindergarten class? If you were as lucky as I was, I certainly do. I remember eagerly begging my mom to take me to school earlier so that I can check on the chicken eggs. I want my kids to experience that too!

My students are eager to learn.

They are experiencing school for the first time, and they are so excited to come each day. Most children know that a chicken comes from an egg but have they really seen it hatch/grow live? We live in California where technology plays a huge part of our new way of learning but I feel that Kindergrtners definitely need to be exposed to the cycle of life hands-on.

My Project

I am requesting an automatic incubator for chickens that will allow my students to watch them hatch and grow in our classroom. It turns the eggs automatically and has enough space for the chicks to stay inside once they hatch so they can grow and be in a safe environment.

This project is very important to me because I want them to have the experience of seeing eggs come to life.

I know that with this donation my students will create memorable memories in Kindergarten.
