My Students

Each day in my classroom is full of cooperation, hard work, laughter, questioning and critical thinking. We share ideas, experiences and learn from one another.

Students in my room represent so many different cultures.

We proudly talk about our backgrounds, languages, religions and families. More than 90% of my students, including myself, are bilingual and speak a language other than English at home. We try to use our native languages in the classroom as often as possible. We LOVE learning songs, numbers and words in different languages.

My Project

Getting a brand new guided reading table would be great especially since the old, small, square table we used before broke! With this new table my students will be able to sit comfortably, read and write while I give them guidance and one on one instruction.

For a long time we used an old, wobbly table.

With this new table my students will feel more comfortable and will finally have a spot where we can work together in small groups. Small group instruction is necessary in order for my students to become better readers and critical thinkers. Thank you for your consideration. I'm sure my students would appreciate your help!
