Help my students learn how to think for themselves, cooperate, and enhance their physical abilities by having fun playing with rubber chickens.
I teach pre k through the 8th grade in an urban environment.
My students are very energetic and excited when they arrive to class. They love playing games and activities. My students do not receive much physical activity outside of school. When they are in the gym, I make the most out of each class. The more equipment I have the more my students will be able to experience.
I am requesting 15 rubber chickens and the resource book, "Rubber Chickens and Noodle Games." Inside the book is seven categories of games which use various equipment such as tennis balls, noodles, rubber chickens, and equipment you can make or find at the dollar store. I am looking for different games that will help my students learn how to be a team player, think outside the box, and improve their fitness level. This book contains many fun games that uses unusual equipment. We currently have one chicken and my students have been begging for more. There are many skills that can be learned with the chicken which include throwing, catching, and aiming at targets. Most importantly I want my students to learn how to work together while succeeding at their own physical level.
The rubber chicken is a fun and exciting piece of equipment to add to my physical education program.
The rubber chicken will help to create more interest and excitement to participate. Everyone from all athletic abilities can use the chicken and be successful. I am looking forward to adding some craziness to our P.E. class.
