Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our 5th grade team is excited about getting more Kindles into our classes. The students are highly motivated to begin using them.

As a grade level, our 5th grade team of teachers has decided to incorporate the use of Kindle Fires in our classrooms.

Our students move from each of our rooms for various subjects. The students are high-achieving learners who love to be challenged. We often assign projects that require Internet research. The Kindles will allow them greater opportunities to access the internet for Social Studies and Science connections to the literacy program. They are highly motivated by these opportunities.

My Project

Each of our teachers have been getting Kindles funded to use in our individual classes on a daily basis. We are also excited about the opportunity to pool them together for interactive whole group lessons using our Smartboards. We can create various quizzes and surveys that the students will be able to answer questions on using the Kindles. The results will be interactive and displayed on the board for discussion. The students would be able to get into a smaller group to participate if we can provide a greater number of Kindles.

My students are eager to begin using our Kindles, and would love to have even more access with a greater amount.

With highly motivated, independent learners, having this technology will maximize creativity and curiosity. They will literally have the Internet at their fingertips!
