Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Self expression and creativity captured! My students need their plays and presentations recorded to document and share their collaborative work. My students will be inspired to complete project based learning activities.

My students attend school in Los Angeles, California where the budget crisis does not afford us the opportunities for additional technology in the classroom.

Our students come from high poverty households and sadly, many of our students also lack the motivation, inspiration and encouragement in the home environment which will help them to thrive academically. Technology in the classroom can help bridge the gap.

My Project

A classroom camcorder will inspire young students to collaborate on projects and presentations. They will be motivated to speak out and express themselves with confidence and pride. We will be able to document students' projects which tie into our Language Arts EXPRESS YOURSELF unit theme and grade level standards across the curriculum. Students will be able to proudly showcase their work sharing their project based learning experiences with other students and on DVDs to take home to present to parents.

My students will be inspired to be collaborative learners.

They will learn how to present their project based learning experiences in a creative manner. We will be able to document the planning and inquiry phases and showcase the final project presentation for all to enjoy time and time again.
