My Students

We love our new school and we are inspired by our new library! But, we need a way to display our student research presentations, our student book reviews, student art work, and a display to assist in reading promotion. Can you help?

We are "Anchored in Excellence" at our middle school.

We strive each and every day to do our best, show pride in our school, and make our community the best it can be. Our school's namesake made it her mission to be an active and positive force in our local community. We are proud to have our school named after her. Our school is located in an urban area of Georgia. Our population is small compared to many of the schools around us. We have 875 students, and we have an 85% free and reduced lunch count. Resources and funds are scarce. Yet, that does not dictate our success or our vision for the future. We want and will be the BEST we can be!

My Project

Our students love to have their creative work displayed in the library for all to appreciate. Our students are focused on learning and enjoy displaying their talents. We are needing several display boards for showing off art work, research projects, reading promotions, library events, and student book reviews. Currently, we are promoting a "Hungry for Reading" Poster Contest for students. The participants are so excited to show off their reading posters. But, for now, we are having to just lay the posters on the library shelves due to lack of proper wall space. Having some display boards would help us share students' joy and pride in what they are learning and in what they have to say.

Due to lack of funds and resources we do not have a way of displaying important student projects.

Your donation will assist us in the purchase of these essential items, display boards, for the library media center. Student work and projects are at the heart of our mission and vision. Join us in establishing a record of scholastic success.
