Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help build our art room library! My students absolutely LOVE using step-by-step books to learn to draw various subjects!
My darling students are true scholars who respect learning.
They are engaged and motivated and they only deserve the best. So much of their learning time is dedicated to core subjects that many of them have been unable to develop their artistic skills. I teach at a title 1 school with many students that receive free lunch. Our school has over 900 students from Kinder to 6th grade.
My Project
Students will use these drawing books during "Rewards Day" and during rainy day recess and any other free time that they have. These drawing books will teach them the basics of drawing and give them confidence in their artistic abilities. They will also have fun learning how to drawing fairies, monsters and animals.
So many of my students can not afford the year book sold at the school so I would like to have a camera so they can take pictures of each other. The camera will be used to take pictures of my students through out the school year so they can have memories of their time at school.
These drawing books will make rainy day recesses and Rewards Day a productive time when students can improve their drawing skills.
This will give them confidence if their artistic abilities throughout their lives and possibly awaken unknown talents!
