This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us to become more creative! My students will benefit from writing and illustrating their own books.

My students are English Language Learners.

They are 98% Hispanic that attend a public school in Michigan. The students are third graders and beginning to read fluently and learning strategies to help with their comprehension. They are also learning to write paragraphs and essays. This project will certainly aid to their learning.

My Project

I am requesting crayons, pencils, paper,and pocket folders for my students so they have the chance to use their artistic and written abilities. They will be able to develop their own stories into books including illustrations developed by the student. They will learn how to work on a project from start to finish.

Implementing art with written words will be a rewarding and creative experience for them.

Developing a story with a beginning,middle,and end along with their own drawings of each scene will be fun and rewarding.
