Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember how important you felt when you won an award? How you wanted to carry it with you wherever you went? That's how all kids feel. If I had 2 1/4" button pieces and lanyards, the students in my school can be proud of their reading accomplishments.

I teach in an urban school where pride is evident but not always shown.

The students are working hard to build their reading skills and achieve their goals. We are, as most, a cash strapped district and therefore, cash strapped teachers. I want nothing more than to be able to give something to each and every student who meets their reading goal.

My Project

By donating to this project, you will make it a reality that these wonderful kids can show off their accomplishments. They work so hard to reach their reading goals but a piece of paper gets lost and crinkled. However, a button stating their abilities, is something they can show off to everyone.

These are great, hard-working, young people who can be so successful when given the chance.

You can give them that chance. Give them the opportunity to show off how special they are and what great readers they are!
