My Students

Have you ever had a time when you just didn't have enough copies? You were just 1 short! Perhaps that doesn't seem like a big deal, but in a classroom it is! You need to have the extra copy now! But there is no way to get that copy on the spot...until you meet wonderful donors on Donorschoose.org!

My students are fifth graders in a low income area, made up of a variety of cultures.

They love to learn and they want to know more! My students have already made great advances this year, and I am so proud to be their teacher. I can't wait to teach them all that I can and foster their yearning for knowledge.

My Project

We would love to have a printer/copier in our classroom so that all students can have access to the materials I have in the classroom. I have gathered many books throughout my years of teaching and would love to share these with my students. Sometimes, we have things that we would like to make copies of for each other, but we don't have the time to wait for the copies to go through the school's copying process. Many times, I have had to go to copying centers so that I can get the copies in a timely manner. With so many teachers in our school, we have to make sure to put in for copies several weeks in advance to make sure we have them in time. However, there are times where copies cannot be anticipated.

With a printer/copier in the classroom, students will be able to have more resources available to them in a timely manner.

This will allow for more knowledge to be accessed and more ease in learning.
