My students need books to prepare for potential author visits. These are "Found (Missing Series #1)" by Margaret Peterson Haddix, and "Lunch Lady and the League of Librarians" by Jarrett J. Krosoczka.

My Students

Our author studies of Margaret Peterson Haddix and Jarret Krosoczka will come alive as we use multiple copies of their books to learn more about story plot and structure. Help us hook these young readers on these examples of quality literature.

We are a diverse school community located in the rural area of Virginia.

We are a public school community that is striving to bring success to all our students. With budget cuts, we appreciate your consideration of this request. Our students are eager to read more from these authors and hope for visits at our school in the spring of 2011.

My Project

With you help, we will be able to give students a glimpse into these authors' writing. We will be eager to have book clubs over our lunch break. Students will gather in the library for a "lunch bunch" discussion time. These books will be in the hands of students who are eager to expand their reading skills and strive for learning success.

We are a diverse community of learners.

Last year we did not pass the reading tests and now we are striving to become more proficient with our reading skills. Connecting with authors and expanded reading endeavors will give us a chance to improve as lifelong learners.
