This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are entering into the world of Medieval history. They need to see self-made posters of the inventions of Medieval China.

My students attend an urban middle school in a large metropolitan area in California.

Over 90 percent of our students quality for reduced or free lunch. Given our current budget crises we are sometimes lacking supplies necessary to complete projects which aid student learning.

My Project

Supplies will be used to engage students in the creative process of examining technological advances in non-Western societies during Medieval times. We will use student-made posters which will tell the story of Chinese contributions to scientific and technological advances during the Middle Ages. Creating the posters will give the students well-earned pride in their work, and hopefully, make the project a memorable one!

The acquisition of these basic school supplies, will encourage students to produce quality projects to process and summarize the various themes they learn in class.

Many of these projects will be displayed in the classroom to add to our learning environment, as well as to elicit students' pride in their work. It will assist our students in processing knowledge through cooperative learning, as they are assisted by visual stimuli.
