This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember having all those worksheets in high school? I have 60 students who have to repeat algebra this year and they have no idea what to do with all of their papers. We need your help!

I teach in a high needs school in NY.

The majority of my students are "school dependent" and do not receive the support and supplies that they need from home. They often come to my class with a few sheets of paper and no where to keep any of the worksheets that were given to them during their day.

My Project

I want to provide my students with binders so that they can have a place to keep their handouts and notes. I believe that something so small as a binder will help my students learn the importance of organization. I also believe that it will help them become more successful because they will be able to look back on their work and study. Many of my students have not experienced this type of structure and organization.

I can not imagine a first day of school without a binder or a notebook.

For my students this is a reality. They need to learn the importance of organization and the value of keeping old classwork. However, none of this can happen unless they have a place where they can keep their work. Please help me provide my students with the organizational tool that can lead them to be successful students. I can not do this alone!
