My students need these AMSCO AP US History review books.
AP US History was redesigned and all of the old material in obsolete. I have 53 students and will buy 5 of these.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a magnet school in Philadelphia. The students, many coming from difficult economic circumstances, are committed to going to college and enroll in the AP course to prepare themselves for the rigors of the tertiary level.
Working with students like these is what motivate me daily.
I teach in a single gender magnet school for girls.
The students come from all over the city, some traveling an hour or more each way.
We are a multicultural school attracting many girls who are first generation Americans.
The level of commitment they show to their studies is inspiring. 53 students have signed up for AP US History this year in order to take a rigorous path through high school.
My Project
The AP US History course has been redeveloped. The exam has been significantly altered and this new edition book has been updated to meet the new changes. Students will be using this text as a supplement to the text and to acquaint themselves with the new test format.
My students will be able to use this supplement to enhance their understanding of the course material and to better prepare themselves for the exam in May.
They take these exams seriously and look to gain college credit while in high school.
