I teach in a single gender magnet school for girls. The students come from all over the city, some traveling an hour or more each way. We are a multicultural school attracting many girls who are first generation Americans. The level of commitment they show to their studies is inspiring. 53 students have signed up for AP US History this year in order to take a rigorous path through high school.
