My Students

Do you remember how it felt when you were able to read a page in a book on your own or solve a math problem with out help from a teacher. I would like my students to have these feelings.

I teach in a rural school in North Alabama.

My students struggle with the most basic reading and math skills. The try very hard to improve their skills, but they need more help than your average student. They are always willing to try anything that can help them learn and improve their reading and math.

My Project

My students will use the computers to access programs to improve their reading and math skills. My class size will increase next year and the addition of 2 new computers would mean my students will be able to have their own computers to use in the classroom. It is easier and more beneficial to use a computer one on one to improve skills than sharing with another student who maybe some what close to your level.

If my class receives these computers, it will allow them to use computer programs to improve their reading and math scores.

It will allow them to participate in class without being embarrassed about their reading or their inability to solve math problems. It will give them pride in themselves!!!
