Adaptive Laptop for the Critically Ill

My students need a Mac Air laptop so that they may continue their education as normal children do.

My Students

These students are critically ill and suffer from a variety of life threatening disease, such as cancer, heart disease, traumatic brain injury and MS. Within our school/hospital we lack the technology resources that other schools have.

These critically ill students suffer from a variety of diseases and are patients of a school hospital rehabilitation center.

Our major object is to perform miracles with these children. It is our goal to make them better medically as well as to educate. Many of them come from very poor economic neighborhoods of NY. They do not have the resources that most families do. It is our hope with this project to use adaptive software so that these students can achieve their educational goals.

My Project

With this laptop these critically ill physically handicapped students will have the opportunity to explore the Internet, as well as complete their school work on the laptop. At the present time they are confined to pen and pencil to complete their school work assignments. They desperately need to use 21st century technology.

Please help these children.

Their families as well as themselves have suffered enough. No child or parent should go through this type of trauma. This laptop will be shared among many students and used 24/7 before and after school
