A Gathering Place for Learning

My students need a new carpet for a gathering place which will encourage learning because the carpet that we have is falling apart and is becoming a safety issue in the class.

My Students

Help us create an inviting place to learn. We love to gather together on the floor to learn new concepts and to brainstorm ideas. The classroom rug we currently have is falling apart and is becoming a safety hazard. A new rug will provide my students with a safe and exciting place to learn.

My students are in a self-contained classroom for emotionally disturbed.

They are working hard on developing appropriate social skills so that they will be successful in the general education classroom. My students are learning the steps and skills to social skills which they need to have positive relationships. My students are strong, creative and loving. They want to be included and feel like they are important. The close proximity of a classroom rug provides them a safe place to share their thoughts and feelings.

My Project

I am requesting a new rug in my room. My students enjoy learning when they are gathered together on the rug. It is on the rug that their best brainstorming happens. The students also read and listen to stories on the rug. The students gather on the rug to play games which develop their social skills. Our classroom rug is a gathering place which encourages us to learn.

A new classroom rug will help inspire my students to learn more about their world.

A new rug will provide a safe place where they can explore and share ideas. My students will really benefit from having an inviting gathering place to learn.
