When the box came in I really talked it up to the students. By the time we opened it they were so excited to see the newspapers. They decided they wanted to help organize the newspapers. We took the weekly papers apart and separated them. It was absolutely amazing to hear some of the conversations the students were having as they were looking at the newspapers to organize them.\r\n\r\nMany saw stories that they were excited to get to read. They began asking when we would be reading certain stories, asking if they could read them all that day. This is a great gift of learning that my students are excited to explore.
