This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you exercise better with music or without? The majority of us like to listen to music while we are working out. We would like to help our students get a boost of motivation by providing upbeat music during their activities.

Our students are from the east Los Angeles community.

We teach them the importance of health and physical activity throughout the year. The students understand it is a lifelong commitment but lack resources to help them reach their highest potential. A PA system can help motivate students reach their physical fitness goals.

My Project

The PA system can help motivate students by listening to upbeat music while doing their exercises. Getting students to move can be a challenge, but with a little help from music on an iPod, the situation can change into a great workout. The PA system will be used for circuit training, mile runs, pacers, physical fitness tests, and other activities.

Both the students and physical education teachers would appreciate a PA system because it will be used for a variety of different lessons.

Students will be excited to hear some music while they are exercising and the teachers can still be giving instruction while the students are doing their assignments.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
