My Students

Although I have the most amazing teaching assistant who is more than capable of getting the job done, this aide needs some AIDE! Our students meet in small groups with Mrs. K and she does an incredible job, often with few resources. I want to make her time as effective as possible.

What a crew this is!

Our school is over 80% poverty, and many of my kindergarteners come to school with limited experiences and understanding of what school is all about. They are a VERY eager bunch who get excited for anything that comes their way everyday. They are an extremely talented group and we want to provide an environment that is predictable and a place where they can be successful.

My Project

After hours in front of the computer, I believe I have found some true gems amongst the literacy and math activities out there. From the ever-so-popular Bingo to hands-on teaching tubs, I'm convinced these resources will allow my teaching assistant to continue building a solid base of basic skills for our kinders to increase their confidence all while having FUN!

Our students absolutely love learning and enjoy school.

They seriously say things like "This is so fun" or "I like to learn." We want to make sure their feelings about school continue to remain positive and that their abilities continue to grow. My aid is doing a fantastic job with the few resources I have given her up until this point. I can't imagine what these resources would allow her to do!
