This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember going to school and your teachers were writing on a chalkboard? Times have changed, but due to budget cuts in schools there is very little money for technology. As a result, my students only have access to a dry erase board.

My students are energetic students who come from a variety of backgrounds.

They are on free or reduced lunch. They are English Language Learners, special needs students, and gifted students. They attend a small, neighborhood, Title 1 school which is in year 4 of Program Improvement. They come to school every day eager to learn.

My Project

The interactive whiteboard will help me present my lessons in a more engaging way while preparing my students with the 21st century technological skills they need in order to compete in a high-tech workplace. The large screen will give me the ability to present multimedia material that is visual, auditory, verbal, and interactive which in turn will draw students in. Students can also present with the smart board therefore owning their learning.

Technology is constantly changing and in order for my students to be able to compete in a 21st century world they need to have access to technology.

This smart board will enable my students to learn with the most current technology.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
